Ice Castles, an entertainment company who builds…well, ice castles, has added their own spin to subzero adventures.

With four locations across North America, open until March, you don’t need to travel to the Arctic Circle. Midway (Utah), Eden Prairie (Minnesota), Lincoln (New Hampshire), and Edmonton (Canada), all boast Ice Castle’s creations.

Each location’s castles are unique, offering one of a kind design, interaction and awe, through layers upon layers of solid water.

These frozen castles resemble massive ice sculptures, complete with dramatic lighting, hanging icicles, and fun additions for the young at heart.

Truly works of art, the fortresses are structurally sound, allowing visitors to interact and explore the various caves and openings, while offering the senses a magical vacation.

Walking around these grand structures wouldn’t be nearly as exciting without the thousands of icicles dangling overhead. The icy arrangements appear like aqueous chandeliers that froze mid-drip, adding to the castles’ ethereal ambiance.

Though visitors may have to add some extra layers at night, the castles’ ambiance continues past sundown. At night, the sculptures are lit up in various colours, and the ice offers a perfect backdrop for a theatrical light show.
