Have you ever been curious about what you get when an airline charges you $32,000 for a non-stop flight from New York City to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates?
Brian Kelly (also known as The Points Guy), had the opportunity to fly on Etihad Airways inaugural A380 flight, in their ultra-fancy residence suite, which includes features not even first class get. Let’s have a look at his journey…
After packing and getting ready, Brian heads out of his apartment, where he’s greeted outside by a personal chauffeur with not one but two cars, one for himself, and one for his luggage.
Once at the airport, Brian is met by an entourage of people that carry his bags and guide him through the airport to the airline lounge.
Once there, he is greeted by another team of people, ready to welcome him and serve him tea.
Within the airport lounge, there is a private room behind a secret door with lounge just for him.
Within the room is a lounge, bathroom and dining area, where he is served caviar.
Time for a cocktail at the bar…
Then back to his private lounge to relax before his flight…
No waiting in line for the flight, as Brian is escorted to the plane by another team member, and is the first person to board.
Oh, did we mention Brian got a personal butler for the entire flight?
Who then waited on him, bringing drinks, folding clothes, shining shoes, etc.
After changing into some comfy pajamas provided by the airline, and snacking on more caviar, he had a cocktail made with his preferred drink, which of course, came in a specially engraved bottle with his name and flight number.
Then it was time for Brian to have dinner with a friend that was flying first class. What did they have to eat? A specially requested Thanksgiving meal that wasn’t on the menu and was prepared by the in-flight chef.
After dinner, it was time for a shower. Yes, that’s right, a shower on a flight. It might appear a bit small but keep in mind he is 6’7″ tall.
When it’s time for some sleep, Brian enjoyed his own private bedroom.
